What is a Voter Guide?
A voter guide is information submitted by the candidates as to their experience and agendas in response to questions posed by the League of Women Voters. The voter guide also contains any proposals presented for decision by the voters and may contain an analysis of such proposals.
The League of Women Voters of Arizona has published a Voter Guide for the 2008 Arizona Ballot Propositions. Click on Arizona Ballot Proposition to access this document.
How can you ask questions of the candidate?
The League of Women Voters Northwest Maricopa County holds Public Forums for candidates running for office in communities we serve.
Public Forums provide an opportunity for members of the public to ask their own questions of the candidates directly. Information on Public Forums are posted on this site as they are scheduled.
Legislative Forums
Public Forums will be held for Legislative Districts 4, 9 and 12 before the General Election in November. The Forums will be at 6:30 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 17450 North Avenue of the Arts, Surprise:
- Legislative District 4 October 22 CANCELLED!!
- Legislative District 9 October 23
- Legislative District 12 October 28
Another Public Forum for Legislative Candidates in District 12 will be held at 6:30 PM on October 7 at Marley Park, Heritage Club, 15210 W. Sweetwater Ave.,Surprise. (The Marley Park Forum has been CANCELLED!!)
Come and ask your own questions of the candidates for the Arizona House and Senate.
Check you Voter Registration card to determine your Legislative District. This will be different from your Congressional District.
