Wednesday, February 17, 2010	4 to 6 pm	Home of Jeana Peterson, Sun City West	Wine & Appetizer Membership Event. RSVP by February 8th to Joye/ Mark you calendar and plan to attend a special gathering to recognize new members and encourage potential members to join our League. All members are welcome and each of you is encouraged to invite a potential member(s) to attend this wine and appetizer orientation. This event will include an informational presentation about the League of Women Voters as well as the opportunity to socialize. Please plan to come.
Thursday, February 25, 2010	9:30 am	UU Church, Surprise	General Meeting - Air Quality Update. Guest Speaker: Holly Ward, Public Information Officer for the Maricopa County Air Quality Department & Chad Campbell, State Representative for LD14. Chaired by Pat Mathews.
Saturday, March 6, 2010	10 am to 2 pm	Valley Vista High School; 15550 N Parkview Place (corner of Parkview and Greenway in Surprise)	CIVICS EDUCATION PROGRAM. CIVICS EDUCATION COMMITTEE is planning a special "Advocacy Booth" as part of the COMMUNITY CONNECTION FAIR. Our booth, entitled "GET INVOLVED: Parents and Community Members, Learn How to Participate in the Legislative Process!" will give information regarding how parents can become familiar with legislation that impacts their children's education and how they effectively can contact their legislators and other representatives at all levels of government. We'll give community members some tools to be informed and active participants in government! THE FAIR is designed to be supportive of the new Dysart Family Resource Center that helps needy students and their families. Admission to THE FAIR is some non-perishable food item.

Saturday, March 20, 2010	TBD	UU Church, Surprise	LWV/NWMC co-sponsors with NOW for WOMEN HISTORY MONTH and the 90th ANNIVERSARY OF WOMEN'S RIGHT TO VOTE.
Thursday, March 25, 2010	9:30 am	UU Church, Surprise	General Meeting - National Popular Vote.
Monday, April 5, 2010	12:00 Noon	Home of Joye Kohl	Unit Meeting - Legislative Update. Brown Bag Lunch 12:00 to 1:00; Meeting begins at 1:00 PM.
Saturday, April 10, 2010	7:00 am until Noon	Sun City Grand, Surprise	Voter Registration Event.
Thursday, April 22, 2010	9:30 am	UU Church, Surprise	Annual Meeting - Earth Day Celebration.
